They are a champions league club so I’m not being naive, but we develop players well these days .
It does doesn’t itI know nothing about Uche and think he's a long shot seeing Atletico and other champions league clubs want him. But a 6'3 player who can play as a midfielder OR a forward sounds like the perfect player for the "second striker / number 10" in our 4-4-2 defensive shape.

There a keeper with poppadom wrists called jason steele if thats any helpAny lads called poppadom to complete the set?
he is, but they have an option for him for another year,Thought mepham was out of contract at Bournemouth in the summer or did they exercise the right to extend it? Never seen anything to say they have.
Yeah played a few positions, I think there's a huge scope for him to develop pretty quickly. Could certainly offer an alternative to what we have.Played off the left this season hasn’t he aswell
Crack on BrainyWe haven't sent him back....he's had to go back...his loan is terminated. What happens from here will depend on how much we want him back with us,which could drive up the price, depending on Bournemouth attitude.
No ‘ouch’ about it
Both players have came on so much
I was also guilty of writing mayenda off I’m just so glad I didn’t post it![]()
I think this is one I really wantYou must log in or register to see media
This although quite surface level - highlights just how much he kicked on over the course of last year.
€25m release clause but getafe willing to do business under 20.
I think I actually come out on the right side of history when it comes to Mayenda, for onceI was also guilty of writing mayenda off I’m just so glad I didn’t post it![]()
Played some games up front as well hasn't he? Another similarity to JobeYou know what when you watch him he reminds me of Jobe.
frame, movement, uses his body really well
but a bit better attacking output
As recently as Christmas/January?I was also guilty of writing mayenda off I’m just so glad I didn’t post it![]()
We aren’t a club designed just to help Jobe though. Like all players they need to adapt to help the team win. It’s their job. I respect him for staying focused on winning event when he was discussing leaving us, but I’m not thanking him for leaving us.I think there's an element of the type of football he's playing as well though.
If he stayed here he'd be developing more or less purely as a team that lack possession and are defending for their lives. Which is great. But long term if he aspires to the top he wants to develop and play in teams that dominate possession.
So I can see two reasons why Dortmund tick boxes we don't. 1) they offer him european football ; 2) they offer a more possession dominating style of play
