Hume shouldn’t be sold imo. We need some continuity, can’t just bring in a new 11.

Last summer, RLB kept the same lads as the prior year and added little bits to improve us, that continuity was important.

Yes, it’s a far bigger challenge and we’ll need upgrades across the 11 with real quality but we’ll need to rely on some of the lads to make the step up, Hume is absolutely one of them.

Yeah, they together and just had another kid.

I absolutely yield to the wave of opinion on this one. Ability wise he’d be spectacular pickup of course.

I can see the appeal to the club if what I heard about 20m was right. But I agree - should be starting.

Of course, can we get a better rb for that amount on paper? Almost certainly yes. But it’s not as black and white as that, personality, adapting to the area etc all plays a big part. We know what we’re getting with Hume and he’s not even close to the prime of his career. Should be one the foundations for us to try and build on to achieve safety imo.
