Potentially yeah

but I think they’re going to be big squad options

particularly huggins, those at the club think very very very highly of him

I think we all do, but again he needs to be playing week in week out at this stage of his career and right now we cant offer him that. Same goes with Alese and Seelt.

It’s not a case of not wanting to sign him, I’m just not fussed if he goes elsewhere. Personally want a new CB who’s left footed and can slot straight in at LCB. Ballard and Mepham wouldn’t be a great patnership at PL level imho

Fair enough mate, each to their own. Signing someone that could slot straight in and have the same impact as Mephs will not be easy to find though.

I still believe right now it’ll be Ballard or Mepham alongside O’Nien. I’d love to see a new CB to partner Ballard, probably from abroad.

If he’s available for a few mill wouldn’t be a bad player to have in the squad though. I’m assuming we’re going to keep O’nien and Mepham is a much better CB, also a few years younger. Would defo prefer better than both though

**** me I bought that as well.

The club are really milking Jobe posts but it could be multiple things at play:

  • a long good bye
  • A “he’s staying” build up
  • A genuine attempt at wooing him into staying

Not sure what that Jobe Instagram post is all about, but looks to me like he now knows where he'll be playing next season so ill wait in anticipation.
If he goes for 25m, we should defo put a bid in for Rudoni. He's big, strong and athletic like Jobe but at this stage of his career has more goals in his locker then Jobe does.

He's our most marketable player I'd say and we've had a rush of new visitors from around the world across our social media since promotion (it's really noticeable, particularly more African and Asian contributors) so the club could perhaps just be trying to make the most of it in the short time he's still here.

absolutely. It’s also still in our interest to build up the “brand” of Jobe even if he leaves as no doubt we’ll have a sell on fee and so we should all want dortmund to sell him for £90m in 2 years

I still believe we’ll be watching Jobe at the Club WC in 16 days time

Fluminese v Borussia Dortmund

I think it’s more likely he stays with England U21s for the tournament and then joins up with new club after.
