I can remember when we tried to sign 4 Spurs players at once

I think it was Kaboul, Tainio, Malbranque and Chimbonda? Three signed but Kaboul didn’t but then did a couple of years later anyway

 

Wonder if we’ll go into the South American market this summer. Not one we’ve really went at but not too surprising not being in the prem. I have a feeling we may get one signing from that part of the world this summer.

 

on that note all of the Uruguayan youth players that Methven said Sartori was bringing over must be ready for the first team by now

 

That’s the one. It was an ambitious move at the time! Malbranque was quality

 

And we got 3 in Steed, Chimbonda and Tainao or whatever he was called.
The latter would have been a brilliant signing if he stayed fit. He looked a top CDM.

We all know the impact Steed had. Just wish he could have scored goals aswell though.

Certainly tried to. A rotten period under Moyes when he signed his mates. Pienaar would’ve been a brilliant signing…6 years earlier! Don’t forget about Lescott

It was at the time tbf. He played in Europe for them

 

Ill never forgive Moyes for fecking up everything big Sam left behind beating Everton 3-0 and sending the Geordies down months earlier.
He started by announcing we'd be in a relegation battle before a ball had even been kicked, signed his mates, wasted a fortune in NDong, Manquillo and Djib to name a few. He froze Khazri out for no reason despite being one of our best players under big Sam, and then complained when he got us relegated that he wasnt backed well enough from our board.
Ive despised him ever since and hope him and Everton rot.

 

Absolutely grim time mate acted like he was doing us a favour being here, hopefully we’ll wipe the floor with him next season twice
