Come on man. If a company in saudi offered to quadruple your wages you would be suitcase packed in a flash. We all would
I absolutely wouldn’t. Was offered a salary 30 odd years ago that I’ve only just reached now but turned it down because the company had morals lower than a rattlesnakes belly. No regrets whatsoever.

I left a high paying job in advertising to earn minimum wage as a regional journalist and I have never ever been so calm nor content.

Realising money isn't worth compromising yourself is a wonderful thing.

I took a massive pay cut last year to make sure I didn’t take work home and enjoyed my life a bit more.

Best thing I ever did.

This. He’s absolutely clueless. Though (if fit) I’d love Danns as one of a 4.
I’d be happy with that one I think. I’m not expecting (nor do I particularly want) a nailed on first choice striker coming in. I want to see Isidor and particularly Mayenda get the chance to grow as top level strikers. We also have Abdullahi who may surprise. Getting another body in, one with talent, for relatively low money means we can concentrate elsewhere. However I’d hope that we use our other domestic loan to add a bit of prem know how.

Hardly left myself desolate mind, wasn’t exactly giving up luxury to live off the land.

Just one of them as you get older, you spend less ‘day to day’ and are more focused on other things.

We have properties and that now but I was killing myself to essentially pile up money that I was too exhausted to spend.

Now do my 37.5 hours (instead of 60 plus…) and don’t work weekend or bank holidays. Time with my missus and dog.

It’s balance ain’t it. I mean I ain’t gonna go to work for £12 an hour but I was done with being ridden like a horse.

Feel younger; feel healthier, feel more relaxed.

Would I have taken Saudi money in my youth when I was building? I have to say I’d have considered it, I may well have done a Hendo. Got there and thought ‘**** this’.

You do reach a beautiful mindset when you have your life. Your lads, your lass, your dog, your family and that’s all that matters.

Not after i placed myself in such a moral high ground and already become a multi multi millionaire partly on the strength of that. Its comparable to an already comfortably well off Chris Packham accepting £1 million to slaughter, cook and eat a baby Puffin, live on The Discovery Channel. His career would be finished, and so should have Hendersons career ended in the desert.
