Are Jordan James and Charlie Cresswell realistic targets? Both been and got good experience in the French top flight last season, both big lads, both young, both have shown plenty of potential and are British which helps their ability to settle in the squad and also retain sell on value.

I’d try and sign someone of Melvin Bard or Quentin Merlin quality for a position like lb. Obviously they might be unrealistic but if we try and sign some quality from top 5 leagues and get some premier league experience we might have a chance. But who am I kidding

Think the German market is one we need to attack, some cracking value there as you'll know better than most
Yeah 100%, the problem has become that in recent years after several years of making massive profits on their players - bundesliga teams can afford to ask for massive fees now. Frankfurt take the piss and anyone who scores a few goals for them gets a £70m valuation slapped on them and teams pay.

Shuto Machino apparently only going for £5m from holstein kiel though suggests there is value in the market from the poorer teams and teams near the bottom, as well as the second tier. Kaishu Sano also probably good value for money to sit behind Le Fee and Jobe/someone new, just protects the defence and fundamental in how mainz managed to get top 6 - think as a promoted team someone who can sit in as a shield while we counter could be make or break and Neil doesnt really excel at it.

Shuto Machino is the one I wanted in January. Literally can’t have a better name for a striker:emoticon-0102-bigsm
