Think they'll end up accepting less.

Yeah me too. Don’t think any club is offering anywhere near 60M at this stage

They're the 4 standouts. I thought Souza was better than Hamer yesterday though Hamer is the usual standout player. I prefer Rudoni of the 3, just because I think he has a style, mentality and age that give him a higher potential ceiling than the other 2. The problem with everyone of them is that we already have Neil, Rigg and (at the moment) Jobe who will be in the squad from the Championship. Do you want another Championship midfielder or do we need a serious step up in quality (like Le Feé is).

I love Josh Sargent, he's my favourite Championship player, he's got a great work ethic, runs tirelessly for the team and is a good finisher. I think he can make the step up. Again though, Mayenda and Isidor will be 2 of our 3 strikers next season. Does Sargent give us enough of an upgrade on Isidor? I'd say not.

I don't think the Championship is a market we'll be shopping in, especially considering none of them will be cheap. I can see the French League being targeted again.

May as well spend that on one of Dembele's legs instead. We'll loan the other one <laugh>

Conversely they could think if we get a decent sell on clause / % it could be worthwhile letting Sunderland develop them.

Mitoma is good but is he what Arsenal really need? It’s a striker they’re crying out for

They need both. Who do they play on the left? Martinelli or Trossard? Both good, but not title winning good. Not sure Mitoma is either mind, but he's considerable better than those two.

I think Souza appeals as he’s such a physical monster. I don’t see much need for Hamer if we’ve got Le Fee - even though he’s clearly great. We probably need more out and out wingers.

Looks like they were in the race for Wirtz but are missing out. Does seem kinda weird for them to go for a big money winger when they have such a glaring gap in the middle though. I’d be surprised if they can stretch to £200m across those two positions. They’ll need to get that sorted or they’ll underwhelm once again

Hamer would slot straight in ahead of Dan Neil for me… Quality player

He’s definitely quality but we’d be too soft with that swap. There’ll definitely be a place for DN next season but looking at what we already have in the middle of midfield, we need solidity and physicality more than anything.

Must improve on yesterday’s showing. It’s been a weird season for him. Really inconsistent with performance levels

Spot on, Hamer is a good attacking CM but struggles in the deeper role

We need a natural CDM imo, I do like Souza but sure there will be better or equal quality out there
