We will need some experience as well, but we can't just go away from our plan now we are in the PL

I think 3 experience players and then some real quality young players
The model is perfect, we are just shopping in different shops, look at jack Clarke and jobe picked up for around 3 million , Clarke went for 10 and Jobe your probably talking 25.
Don't get me wrong I want to keep Jobe but it already means we have a 25 million pound player we paid 3 for.
Get the recruitment right and we'll be paying 10-15 million on young players.
The recruitment team is the key and have proved themselves already, to buy the right players again.
Ballard is a perfect example, not good enough at the time to break into the arsenal team but when he's 25 he probably could.
Sign young players that are at top premier league or European teams that can't quite break in to their first team.
That's not what most newly promoted teams do, they buy players with PL experience that the other 17 teams don't want that's why they keep failing.
I've always looked at Speakman and thought he looks like a bit of a knob, however, **** me he's bloody good at his job

It would be all about the fee for me, he would be OK as a back up but nowhere near goof enough to start imo
A low fee with lots of incentives would be nice. Don’t think he’s making it at City. I just like his versatility and he’s played plenty of football now for a 21 y/o

Ballard is 25 now and would get nowhere near the Arsenal bench never mind their starting team

Other than that, you make some good points

Will our wage structure have been shattered by the Le Fee deal as well?
I think most contracts will have rises for PL in them, I think we'll look at tying some players on longer contracts which will result in rises.
Thing is if we want premier league players we will have to pay premier league wages.
I'm sure there's still going to be a wage cap only now it's much higher

Well well well. Should be a very interesting summer.

I’m looking forward to seeing what exciting young talent we can attract in the PL. At least this time with the money we have a lot will be able to do a job from the get go aswell as the future.

Just hope we mix it with a good amount of PL experienced players too!

I’m sure Speakman has been savouring this day <laugh>
I can’t see why any club will sell us players on the cheap anymore when they see what we do with them.
They will be thinking, hello, this lad must have some potential we can’t see, so we should keep him.

I think we could possibly look at bringing 2 really good players in on loan on similar deals to Le Fee, pay a lot on their wages without the cost of a transfer fee. Sign them permanent if we stay up when we have an extra years money.
The Le Fee situation is ideal, a top player that has gone somewhere for big money and it hasn't worked out

I think there's only 3 championship players I'd be interested in - him, Hamer and Souza

Possibly Sargent but I don't think he's great with his back to goal and feel we need a striker that is to compliment what we have
Any from the relegated PL sides?

Most players we sign this summer should be ones who will be in the starting line up rather than as backup. The current starting 11 should be looking to raise their game to get back into it.

I do think dibling is a while off being as good as southampton rate him, certainly figured out this season and quite one dimensional in how he attacks.

Very promising though and a good coach could make him great.
