I checked on Transfermarkt and Zorgane has 4 assists this season which doesn’t stand out. 25yo and playing in Belgium so I can see why he’d get overlooked. Those stats are first class though and, if I remember right, you said he should have more assists if the forwards’ finishing was better?

Yeah I've done some more digging through datamb and this should convince anyone even more:

Shows that he's also not only ranked 1st for through passes but also 2nd for passes that bypass 3 or more players, his ability to split the oppositions shape is absolutely unbelievable. Some other names can be ignored for quality of opposition but to be playing in a good standard league and putting up consistent numbers is great to see.

As for the assists, this is something I can see increasing dramatically in a good side - 4 assists this season from 11 expected assists. In a better side he'd get even more of the ball and the attacking runs would be of a higher level.

Across the last 4 years:
24/25: 4 from 11xA
23/24: 5 from 9xA
22/23: 8 from 8xA
21/22: 8 from 5xA

He's got significantly better at creating chances but teammates letting him down.

If we're still in the Championship next season I suspect we'll not do very much business this summer, unless we lose an awful lot of players, we're also likely to integrate the likes of Triantis, Zach Johnson and Harrison Jones.

Only 16 players managed 10 starts or more in the league for us this season.
I'd be disappointed if that's the case, we are almost certain to lose a few big players and we need to shift A LOT of players that won't make it here

That’s a really good metric actually, much better than progressive passes.

Yeah I agree, think his lack of pace will cost him in the prem.

Be interesting to see how he would stack up against Robertson in his last year at Hull, although that was in the prem.

The difference in quality especially in defenders in the champ and PL is mental. The full backs seem to have it all. Most are great defensively, fast, strong and athletic. Even the likes of Munoz, Udogie, Dalot, Wan Bissaka, Robinson etc playing for bottom half teams yet so far ahead of someone like Firpo who I’d argue has been the best in the championship by some margin this season. Hume been very good too mind.

Talk of him going to Real Betis. Wouldn’t be a surprise as he really struggled last time Leeds were in the PL.

He keeps saying he wants to be his own man, that's the only reason why I can't see him going to Dortmund.

Looks like he's definitely away whichever division we're in, shame as I thought he'd give us a year in the prem.
I think he'll stay if we go up, then be away after a year - would be the best place for him for that season.
