Don’t have anywhere near as strong as opinion as you on Roberts, I think he’s a pleasure to watch when he’s on it. But he’s been dreadful for a while now. I will say in his defence, it’s a joke he doesn’t have any competition to bring him out and rest. He’s solely relied on to do something on the right side and at this level you will have dips. The January window let us down massively, the club got it badly badly wrong

Imo the club let us down by not replacing Roberts with someone better. He's got all the attributes but no end product.

Imo teams don't get promoted with Roberts as their starting rw. An option off the bench, yes, but not as your first choice.

Just said on the next manager to go thread that the style of play doesn't help him at all. Plus what you say about him pretty much having to play every game is 100% true.

He also has pretty much nothing to hit when he does get some space.

Roberts is frustrating but so is the whole set up, we don't fill the box with runners from midfield
I agree. Don’t think Hume gets around him enough either and Rigg isn’t good enough next to him. But ultimately he’s one of three ‘forwards’ and his numbers are shocking let alone for someone playing in a team who have been in the top 4 for a whole season. I’m a big Roberts fan btw but hard to back him currently

Rarely see Jobe making runs into the box anymore. Rigg seems to hang around the edge as well and when we play ELF wide left he doesn't attack the back post

I wasn't at the game but I've heard that ELF did not have the SAFC badge on his shirt. Is this correct? Any idea why that would be the case?

Hume can't pile forward if cirkin is doing it, we lack a bit of balance imo.

I'd also rather Rigg was played as an 8, this false 9 / pressing role doesn't suit him

Just annoying. The lack of signing a proper RW in the last couple of transfer windows <doh>
I remember at the end of January, there was still a lot of hope of top 2 and there was 8/10 scored for the window based on Le fee and not losing anyone.

but at the end of that window we were left with loads of games left, one senior right back, one senior left back (injury prone cirkin at that), one RW; no natural fit LW. It was really poor from the club. There’s questions about RLB which are absolutely fair, but he was let down in January with one signing in a position that wasn’t even vital at the time.

Jobe seems to be sat as another 6. He's so much better driving forward. Rigg leads the press but ends up pretty much being a false 9 rather than the 8 he should be

Roberts has 2, possibly 3, games to save his SAFC career for me. Same level of production and complete lack of effort as the previous 2 years and he should be the first out the door. No team wanting promotion would accept his level of performances yet he's our only right winger. Mental.
Not for me, he's had a ****e season with no end product. You assess a player over the season not 3 big games, he's not done enough to warrant a starting place

There’s a few that fit that build. That really haven’t performed well and started every game.

Im actually seriously beginning to hate him now as a player. Probs a sound lad in real life, but an absolute liability to call him a RW in a promotion seeking team

Could be some interesting pick ups from the relegation sides. Obviously none of these are perfect players but could be some bargains to be found, especially for squad depth.

Luton;
Teden Mengi
Quick, powerful, right footed CB

Alfie Doughty
More of a wing back than a full back or winger but thought he was Lutons best player in the PL last season. Good delivery on him. Available on a free

Lamine Fanne
Tall, defensive midfielder. Only joined in January so unsure if he'll move. Only 21

Elijah Adebayo
He's had a stinker of a season but scored 10 in the PL last year. Tall, quick and strong. Gets himself in great positions just struggles to finish

Plymouth;
Just the one here, Ryan Hardie. @FellTop 's favourite player:emoticon-0140-rofl:

Cardiff;
Rubin Colwill
Tall, attacking midfielder. Been talked about for years as the next big thing but hasn't really hit the heights. I think there's a good player in there though and would be worth a shot.

Yousef Salech
Now onto @MadMackem77 's favourite player:emoticon-0140-rofl: Adapted to the Championship with ease since January. Tall striker who loves a header.

Really liked him in Sweden then came in and has basically only scored headers - seems like what we need with this new 20 corner 50 cross tactic we have going on.

I still think their may be a player in Asgaard at Luton
