157 players have played 700+ minutes in attacking positions in the Championship this season (striker, winger, attacking midfield). I wanted to see where Patrick Roberts ranked in the major categories for his position.

Non penalty goals per90 146th
Non penalty xG per90 116th
Goal conversion % 143rd
Shots per90 45th
Non penalty xG per shot 145th
Touches in opposition box per90 43rd
Progressive carries per90 5th
% of successful dribbles 35th
Fouls won 81st
Assists per90 42nd
xA per 90 35th
1st, 2nd and 3rd assists per90 28th
Passes that lead to a shot 12th
xA per shot assist 121st
Crosses per90 36th
Tackles and interceptions per90 70th
Successful defensive actions per90 58th
Fouls per90 (1st is worst here, 157th is best) 26th

He's good at one thing, carrying the ball. But there's no point in doing that when he does absolutely nothing with the ball when he gets into the promising areas. He's a hindrance to our team and has been for a long time.

First signing of the summer window should be a right winger, no matter what league we are in.

If this is true I will go crackers.
Tommy's deal has been done and he will miss the last 4 games and any playoffs.
Brighton have put this in the deal.
And we have agreed to it, now not a fact but came from an agent based in Wembley.
So don't shoot me till I get it confirmed.

Not saying you're lying, just can't see the club agreeing to such a deal when promotion is worth £150m+.

We'd take the risk.

What excuse will the club use for him to miss the last 4 games and the play offs?

Also why just those games? Is there more chance of Injury in those games?

Thanks for sharing. I do believe Tommy will go to Brighton. They arent ready to give up on him yet. It wouldnt surprise me if a deal in principle was in place either.

Missing games would be really odd though. I cant see why either side would consider it tbh. Certainly we shouldnt. What would Brighton gain from it? They dont finish their league campaign until a day after the championship play off final, so certainly it cant be about the length of his summer break. Brighton are very savvy on young players and imo will value every minute he can get before they hope to have him there. Imagine how much his development will improve fighting through such pressure games as the championship play offs. They could theoretically get a player who has played in a Wembley play off final and win or lose he will be better prepared for them as a result. Just cant imagine any world where Brighton even ask for it.

Obviously the Watson thing sounds made up by someone with a vendetta against the club.

Like much of what we end up hearing attributed to vague sources or no sources at all.

Think Watson will leave. Think the rest sounds like an outright lie.

Yeah this. Very surprised it wasn't done in Jan TBH. He will go there but will be from June onwards.

Not saying its not true, but he could sustain a career threatening injury any game he plays between now and then...if that is the worry. Also from Sunderlands perspective if we are in line to get a bunch of cash for a player who doesn't want to be here, then why play him at all

If I'm the owner of this club, I'm not worried about losing Watson to injury, not with the cash cows in the squad. If we dont go up, a few will leave that should land us a big pot, regardless of Watson.

Wed still get a canny wedge in compensation if he left on a free.

This is just sad. One of the best in the business and instead of going to one of the top clubs he's took the easy money. Real shame.
