Might as well make a start on this on now, as there is a discussion on the winter window thread,

so here we go,

a one stop place for all rumours, good and bad,

where do you think we will be next season?

who to keep?
who to bring in?
what do we need to bring in?

if we go up, how will we approach the window? hell for leather? the sensible approach we have been doing?

This might be the hardest ever season to predict a summer window this early.

Either way there will be a lot of activity. To either strengthen for a PL campaign or replace (and hopefully strengthen) for a renewed Championship push.

That’s it. Busy summer ahead regardless of the division

Depends whitch league we are playing in
If we don't get promotion I think a few players will leave and the process will be the same a few sensible loan signings, three or more permanent signings depending on who leaves.
If we get promoted four or five signings to improve the current squad (loan signings included).
Imo Mr speakman will have plans in place

PL - more money to play with due to the nature of what the PL is, could see more ambitous targets
Championship - few players leave, bit more options than but should be in good place.

regardless of what league, KLD/KS have us in a great shape, and players will start to look at us and go, yeah I want to play there

There's a rebuild coming this summer either way I think.

If we don't go up, then we'll be replacing 4 or 5 of Jobe, Neil, Rigg, Watson, Hume & Cirkin.

If we do go up, we need quality first team ready players and to look at moving on the likes of Huggins, Alese & possibly Ballard who aren't robust enough to be relied on every week. Then of course the deadwood and those who will be seen as surplus to requirements at that level (Hjelde, Browne, Poveda).

Nah I don't think so. Club under no pressure to sell. The model is usually lose one of your bigger players each summer. Fail to go up and it'll probably be Jobe, but the others will stay

Yeh. Think we might lose a couple but it won't be the exodus some predict. We all predicted it last season as well and it didnt happen.

Neil and Watson have contracts that expire at the end of next season and so far haven't accepted new deals. We'll sell if they can't agree.

Rigg will have half of the world's best teams in for him again.

We won't be under pressure to sell Hume but if the bids are around £20m like Fulham were rumoured to be ready to pay, then we'll probably sell.

We will only need 5 if we hit PL.

Unai Simon
David Hancko
Federico Valverde
Xavi Simons
Dusan Vlahovic

Easy. Get it done Speakman <laugh>

(Hancko is the kind of actual target we should have e should we get up, top players in lesser leagues)

Watson will likely be away given what's happened. I'd be amazed if Neil went and the Hume to Fulham thing was just social media bollocks. Rigg isn't going anywhere just yet

Its definitely too soon for Rigg to go and the fact he signed a pro deal here despite his options suggests to me that he's sensible enough to know that.

I'd like us to secure him to a long deal in the summer so we're not faced with the same problem we are with Tommy
