Would be very happy with Cresswell. Would be nice to maintain a British back line as part of our team. Hume, Cirkin, Cresswell. Would still like to see a left sided centre back added to that
He played a lot last season though and just had a very good tournament so that adds more to.the price
He cost Leicester £17m, you'd assume they'd want that back at the very least. Fits the profile, but it doesn't feel like there's room for him and Cirkin due to his age and price. Angelino/Reinaldo are of an age where you'd maybe expect Cirkin to step up and force his way back in. Bischoff, you would expect to offer competition for Cirkin but be cover.
guess it’s similar to Jobe mate albeit one year extra. club signs a high potential player cheap then attempts to cash in when stock high. Especially selling to premier league clubs
feels like all the outlets are either backtracking or covering all bases. Perhaps the lad is genuinely trying to make his mind up
Come on Bulka. Ive always said Polish Keepers are the best in the world and what a nice name he has too
Going to Saudi is just a bad career move for younger players in my opinion. Look at Jhon Duran, arguably the hottest striker prospect early last season, goes to Saudi in January and is already about to move to Fener. Gabriel Veiga the same thing, has just moved back to Europe joining Porto. Fener and Porto are big clubs but they wouldn’t have had any chance of signing them without the Saudi move first.
Veiga was actually planned with precision. He knew exactly what he was doing. PL and La Liga clubs were linked and he wouldn’t have played much, developed. Set his bloodline up for life, and back to a massive club still years before his prime. Also helped his club, Vigo, pay for stadium redevelopment. He did Saudi right.
These fees are getting daft like and it's not even simply inflation, some of these fees are 500% increased after 12 months. If you could buy and sell at 50% profit that used to be considered decent business.
Media outlets haven’t a scooby of the hard facts in this one. They’re all reporting different stories
Be interesting if indeed the Polish FA wouldn't allow him to play for the National team if he plays in Saudi... If thats the case and he goes there, then he's simply chasing a s hit load of cash
All this said, completely hypothetically if I was offered £100k at Saudi versus say £50k for a job I wanted, I would absolutely try to use the Saudi offer to see if the other place will offer me more money. I think that’s a natural human thing to do. You want to maximise your income especially if you pick the “lesser” option not saying this is what’s happening but it absolutely could be.
