    The shape was the same. The focus on getting 1v1 out wide was the same. The big difference was an added element of structure both in and out of possession plus a reduced emphasis on controlling the ball in favour of being decisive. To me it was primarily a more competent implementation of the club plan than Mowbray was capable of. The difference between the ‘let him cook’ game plan of Tony versus a lot more order from RLB. But whatever. It’s a subjective argument.

    No way Diarra and Guendouzi both sign and I’m not sure I’d want both. Needs to be room for Rigg and Neil to prove themselves imo.
    I absolutely want Mayenda to start so Vanat isn’t an huge priority and I’m not entirely sold on Angelino either but the rest would be brilliant.
