Aye real shame. He could be a beast. Pace and power, decent on ball. We can hope that at some point he can stay fit.

There’s a few left sided CB we could go for Brassier, Niakite at Braga is good. Really ambitious one be Coulibaly off Dortmund but he might play there this season.

 

Yeah I like him too, maybe I'm wrong but I would be a bit scared of our only CB incomings were Cresswell and Goglichidze - Cresswell has looked really solid in a possession heavy England u21 team but he was still prone to naivety for toulouse.

His move to Como makes sense and I think he suits Italian football really well, I think I'd just want someone more assured in defence, even just one player who's got an air of calmness about them and some top level games under their belt (not saying some 40 year old but a 26 year old who's played a lot by now).

 

I know you watch a fair bit of French mate, what’s your thoughts on Brassier and Coulibaly? Both a bit raw but both a bit of pace for defenders, both units.

Either could grow massively.

Brassier was unlucky at Marseille cos they just went other way.

I think coulibaly could become really good but for the same reasons he'd take a lot of work - I love the idea of signing young players but priority #1 should be instant ability to impact the team and stay up in the first season. Coulibaly essentially has played no football apart from a short stint in Belgium and would be a big risk.

I quite like brassier but my only concern is that Rennes have activated the option to buy him so he's not for sale.

They got him for €12million, I wager they be tempted to sell if someone offered £15million.

He was class for Brest I thought OM was a perfect move for him but they didn’t play him.
