Player sales are the only way we can do that like. Getting £30m for Jobe and putting £20m of that back into the squad in the form of 2/3 first team players will improve us big style. Thats Sebastianos brother isn’t it? Lad who was at inter as a kid? Haven’t seen much of him

Aye that's from the clubs idea of if we lost 2 of our players for major money - and yeah it's one of the 3 brothers. I think he's absolutely unbelievable, if you ever get a chance to watch Spezia it's one of those watch the game and you won't see him, watch him and you'll see the game (probably a horrific misquote).

He's added goals to his game this season and is in my opinion the best player in Serie B and has been for 3/4 years now. Don't understand why nobody is interested, he even got capped for Italy at 21 and as far as I can tell Besiktas is the only interested party at the minute.

Sounds like the plan mate, want players capable of stepping up to the premier league immediately.

EDIT - Salvatore Esposito is a personal favourite of mine.
Are these promotion dependant or next level players regardless? Just before I get excited and start watching YouTube comps all day :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Sure, without total specifics it appears the net for scouting has been cast far and wide and the targets are pretty optimistic. Seems we're more than happy to double the fees for the likes of Aleksic, Isidor, Abdullahi - basically was very reassuring in that the club seem to have a lot of options for all the players we are worried about losing.
And you think KLD will spend money, even if we get promoted.

I mean the conversation I had was about if we didn't go up and sold Jobe + one more, so I assume that's the aim. There's always a difference between your targets and who we end up with it seems but at least they're aiming high.

We'd keep the model, but the quality and potential of youngster would improve in my opinion. So rather than what we spend on young players now, we'd spend 5m to 15m on talented prospects with the aim they could be sold for 50m+ and help us along the way whilst they improve.

Good stuff mate. I dont think anyone can claim the club havent aimed high recently. Mepham has been transformative. Le Fee was beyond anyones expectations. Samed, whilst I have not seen enough to think he is as good as what we already have, was clearly a high aim. So was Browne to an extent. Then Isidor of course. If we bring in big money for Jobe and Neil, which we probably will if we miss out, then if we raise the target line again who can grumble. Even me, who would rather watch home grown lads, can see the sense for KLD.

Why do some fans have an obvious agenda against the club and yet still reckon they support them, bloody weird.
God knows mate never seems to be a middle ground with us we’re either the best in the world or everythings ****, aye yesterday was poor but I’m trying to look at the bigger picture, we’re sitting pretty and likely to have a fully fit squad for the play offs we can’t ask for much more

I like Watson think there is a good young player there who may develop into something special. Or he may dissappear into the footballing wilderness as has happened many times.
  • Good deal for us at this moment in time.
  • Good deal for his agent.
  • Wether it's a good deal for Watson only the future will tell us that.
And if it isl then that is also good for us either way sell ons etc.

Didn’t get the booing him off yesterday at all. What good does that do the team as a whole at that point? Expected it mind

Whatever division we end up in I hope we go big on a right winger. I really think it would be the key to unlocking our attacking play if we had a consistent goal threat and chance creator on the right.

Over the last 10 games (Leeds away onwards) we've only scored 8 goals. 4 by a striker, 1 by a left winger, 3 from set pieces. That's not enough and the lack of goal threat from both right wing and midfield is a huge problem.
A new RW has to be at the top of our priority list for me.
