Harvey Elliot would be a stunning buy. Lad needs to play, coaches can really ****ing play. Do it Speakas!
Zola, Vialli, Di Canio, Di Matteo, Carbone, Cuddicini I do know what you mean though. There have been many misses I am sure. The pace of the game is different, although I think Italian football has become a lot quicker in recent seasons.
Totally forgot about them tbh. All from the same era though. Shows how much the leagues changed since then.
He signed a new contract at Utd late last year I think. They pay stupendous wages. He's also been one of their few bright sparks. If they let him go, even on loan, they really have gone nuts!
Tonali looks class imo. I know I probably shouldnt say that, but I think he is a quality player. There have definitely been a drop off in purchases of Italians. Not sure why, some of there players are absolute quality at the minute, in particular some of the younguns.
Think it’s more top Italian players like to stay in Italy. Locatelli Frattesi Bastoni Barella All had chances to come PL, all would be elite players. All chose to stay Italy. They have an insane amount of talent in that league. Cambiasso the Juve RB is superb and PL teams have tried, there’s so many young midfielders it’s crazy. Italy is a great place to live and the players love to stay home (as do the vast majority of English and Germans)
Don't watch much of the prem, but the mags midfield is class tbf. All units with power and quality. They've always produced class players, just not many seem to come over, as Nads has said, probably better to live in Milan than Middlesbrough
They have a kind of quota system too I think. This helps younger players get games they might not get. We should have something similar IMO.
