Aye mate. It was canny common knowledge but it didn't put the player in a good light so some didn't want to hear it.

He can do one for me. As previously noted a few posts up, he hasn't gave us anything, repayed anything for the 10-12 years of development. Instantly, wouldn't sign a deal and wanted out. Club had no choice at all.

Fair play to Speakman and club here for ensuring the price is 10m.

Was terrible against Preston imo, defo zoned out.

Onwards and upwards, i expect a stellar summer transfer window mind.

Based on what - just over a dozen championship games and under 21 fixtures? I don’t see the ‘special’ myself. Could be massively wrong, just believe there’s an awful lot more to prove yet.

Not sure, Mitoma, Adingra, Gruda, March, Gomez and Minteh all ahead of him in the winger spots currently, along with Enciso, Buonanotte, Osman, Sima, Sarmiento, Yalcoule and Cozier-Duberry currently out on loan in them positions. That's a lot of seriously good players.

Its a fraction of what hes potentially worth, still a long way to go and whilst its disapointing for ourselves i dont see him right now as a winger playing for a team wanting promotion.

yeh, whilst Brighton are great at developing youth, they have a hell of a lot of them. His pathway to first team football is significant. Let’s ask Josh Robertson if moving to Brighton rather than staying here guaranteed development.

I dont see him as part of the first team squad anymore mate.
I wonder if we offer to let them have him for free theyll take Poveda aswell

Club couldn’t win with this, good luck to the lad.
Some of these agents are absolute poison, all they care about is their pound of flesh.
We aren’t in a position to make 18 year olds instant millionaires and unfortunately the agents know this !

Robertson didnt move for a fee like this, imagine the wages Watson has been offered, future securing and its his first real deal. Whilst players like Stewart waiting till late 20s for his Saints move.

Well he has earned the club £10m tbf.

Not sure doubting his commitment to the club helps anyone. He may still have a massive part to play. Going down the route of slagging him off as fans is daft.

I doubt it is him who has leaked this to the gobshites on twitter. Feel a bit for him in that respect. Somebody has some questions to answer on why this is made public now.

no I agree and get it. I’m just saying. Brighton sounds like a good move on paper until you delve a little deeper and see just how much competition there is for young players at that club.

Ye we've defo got a lot right with transfer, but a good deal wrong to unfortunately.

We go again though and at least the calibre of player is going up year on year.

And at leasst its a good fee and not donaldesque.

He is better than all of them <laugh>

Brighton will see again in the summer for big bucks no doubt. This is how they roll.
