Think Rigg could move in to the Bellingham role? Always thought he slowed it down when we countered and he's in a 10 role. Would also allow him opportunity to make late runs in to the box when we attack
Isn’t it fantastic being linked/buying quality players instead of the dross of the last season in the premier league.
Rigg can be developed any way. He isn’t scared of tight marking and he will continue to bulk up, why not?
On matchdays yes. Football matches arent only won and lost on game day. So much of what is done on the training pitch is vital when it comes to winning games. Standards are going to have to be driven so high day to day, I daresay much higher than they have been. Everything has to improve in the league higher, coaching, fitness, everything. Imagine having somone driving standards who has captained England at major tournaments, captained premier league and european cup winners. Re Tommy Doyle at £3m I would be all over that. Very tidy player, gets round the pitch and can cover different postions. Upgrade on either of Samed or Browne.
Yeh I was referring to on the pitch. All that experience you refer to is great and if we can bring him in to sit on the bench and give all that then great. But I doubt he'd want that.
Wonder how much millwall would even want, clearly talented but hard to turn down any sort of serious cash.
Don't really think he suits us at all - more of just signed as an experienced head. He couldn't ever play in a prem midfield 2 and would completely limit us in the 10.
Dunno if this was posted but not great stuff for them at all, most of their signings end up good value but talk a year to adjust
