No surprise there, always thought they were bluffing. They've had weeks to sort this out and have just 'done a Newcastle' imo ... ... probably end up in the same position. Sunderland have gauged this perfectly imo, it's been a good window and better than we could've imagined.
I reckon Bologna were trying to see what they could try and squeeze out of SAFC by taking it to the wire. They may have figured out that the club isn’t a soft touch.
Hence the briefing around Aguerd etc. We'll have back-ups but also won't hurt to have it very visibly out there we can go elsewhere if you don't want your thick end of £30m etc
If Bologna's goal was to get the highest price possible for Lucumi they've definitely suceeded I have no insider knowledge but I reckon this gets done - financially it's 30m now or nothing next year

bologna have already sold a centre back summer (I think), so will need another one. Especially with more games this year including European competition.
Think he’s saying the West Brom lad they’ve signed is the replacement for the one that’s left. So they need to bring in another before letting Lucumi leave.
