Yep they are crying out for another LB and at least 2 forwards, been a poor window for them so far

How are they managing that. Already got 3 players on loan at Strasbourg havent they? Is it different rules in Europe? Murky.
They have technically bought him and Chelsea have a clause to buy him in the future i think

Sounds dodgy to me that. I think these football group things need to be looked at long and hard personally.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back down and end up back in the squad!
At this point anyway it turns out both parties aren't coming out looking good!
As others have said, we supposedly had gentleman's agreements with players we honoured. Biggest example of this is Jobe, club could have said we are promoted now, we can and will now offer then next step on your career path we are not selling unless someone give us a silly fee!
But looks like the club tried to change his mind given we had been promoted but im the end he still wanted to leave and they got the best deal they could at the club he wanted!
Things like that will put us in a positive light and have no doubt players like Diarra will know that if he does as we expect and has offers from clubs going to trophies or whatever he will be allowed to leave, for a fee that is good for the club!
There's always the nuclear option. He just needs to turn up at the SOL against Brentford in a sunderland shirt. He'd have to be sold then.
