Do you go out for Plan C to get them in the building for West ham or get by the first two games for Plan A

Obviously not as clear cut as this but it could be a huge decision if like many of us think itll maybes be a £25-30m investment
I forgot about seelt so atm we have one fit CB on the books

It would feel like a disaster tbh.

You see this constant disruption at Burnley and it doesn't seem to help them progress ...

... I've never any idea who their players are.

As supporters it would feel like disaster, but from the clubs perspective it would be a disappointing inconvenience but wouldn't make us stray from our current path.

We should be gunning for survival, 17th (Tottenham 17th last season) would be a monumental achievement for us, this is going to be a tough season and every point we get will need to be fought for, important to remember that most of the teams we come up against this season will be better than us on paper and it's up to our players and coaching staff to find ways to overcome that.

There’s even more mental considering Ballard and seelt are the only two fit CBS for the first couple weeks.

Don't be so extreme all the time man.

3 of those 5 are out for the first week or two, and maybe 4 out of 5 depending on Seelt's injury

My point is that a centre back signed today might well be ready but, any on deadline day, would need a little time.

You don’t think it’s mental for the club to be happy to start the premier league campaign with some massive fixtures with only one fit CB?

Yeh I also get the principle that we'd rather sign the RIGHT player in 2 weeks and miss West Ham than the wrong player now.

But the injuries to our centre backs does force the issue somewhat. Will be interesting to see where this goes.

The club have no intention of relegation hence the type of players we have gone for, also the countless comments stating this from Speakman, Ghisolfi etc

Obviously it's going to be very, very hard but I highly doubt the club are going to now not sign crucial positions after the strengthening we have done already and they wouldn't see relegation as a 'inconvenience' either. They have high ambition

Quite right, that's football ...

... if I thought Speakman, KLD and Ghisolfi were all sitting around playing Kerplunk I'd be worried <laugh>

I assume this is meaning before the West Ham game.

It’s clear we’ll bring in at least 1 CB before the window shuts.

Most players will have had a decent pre-season so getting them up to speed shouldn't take long ...

... not everyone is like Xhaka, and can fit straight in, but we're not buying cheap options these days.

Anyone worth buying should be ready to go in my opinion.

Careful about thinking survival will be easy, reality can come with a bump if you're not strapped in.
It's most certainly not easy, but the club has higher ambitions and if we get the CBs in and another top winger I think we have a decent chance of 17th
