You are right mate. I value our premier league position and hope we stay up. But there are certain principles that have been reinstated in our club under KLD and I would not give those up for survival. This isnt a one chance only thing, but accept it is one we should try to take. All said and done though, I back the club, they know more than me.

The principles that have made me fall in love all over again with the club are the academy and the connection between players and fans. The academy is our crown jewel, and it is so because we give players first team game time. The playeds connect to the fans because they represent our fundamentals of hard work, commitment to each other and a never say die attitude. They represent our city and our way of life.

I dont believe Regis or KLD are throwing those things away. I just need time to adjust probably. I do reserve the right though to challenge if Rigg is not a major part of it. We havent seen a talent like him for decades in my opinion. If we cant find a good role for someone like him then I will question my relationship with modern football and the desperation that seems to come about with premier league football.

I agree with every word.

The only caveat is that this is the PL and everyone has a desperation to get into it and stay there.

Some of our supporters were on the verge of a hysterical march on the SOL when they thought KLD had his hands in the till and was bleeding the club dry.

If things get tough in the spring, as they might, I just hope people keep their heads.

I dont think we have had anybody since Murray who had the clubs best interests ar heart more than Kyril. I honestly dont think he is here to turn a dime. The big difference between Bob and Kyril is money. And by that I mean access to folk who can do deals. Bob left us the SOL. Kyril will probably leave us an established PL club. I hope he also leaves the UK best academy - he is on target for that after laurel and hardie almost has us a cat 2 setup. That would have been truly horrendous.

I am adjusting to the newer way of thinking. And I trust KLD implicitly. I am sure season 1 will be bumpy and I wont lose my head. I also have a pretty confident outlook about our chances.

What i like is KLD continues to invest loads into the academy, that should always be the heart beat of the club

Probably even more important these days with PSR (as much as I hate the thought of selling our academy boys). The plan will always be to develop elite talent for our 1st team, and occasionally some will move on to help us continue to kick on as a club

I really want us to sign a south American this summer, Luiz would be class but can't see it - be far too expensive

I must be the only one who doesn't see it with this lad. Every time I watched him playing for Villa he was gash. He even got hooked a couple of times to no one's complaint. Mind, plenty of money has been hoyed at him, so it really must be me.

He only comes on some sort of loan though you would think, if at all. But for me, I'd rather he didn't.

Well if he signs you better stop watching us lol

I've always liked him, always impressed me - very well rounded CM however, the cost it would take to bring him here isn't worth it imo

I could maybe see a loan deal but I think theres quite a bit of interest in him

He was shocking in Italy last season mind

Spring?

If more than 2 of last seasons team start against West Ham some will implode
