Just another thing on Xhaka. It's a World Cup year, probably his last and this is a pretty good Swiss side currently so I imagine he'll want to be playing at the highest possible level to prepare for it. Might swing it in our favour.

To be fair mind the window’s not over yet, but I do think Farke has a habit of making things harder than they need to be. I said at the start of the season that him and Wilder were a risk. One did blow it and Farke struggled to nail it with stronger more costly players.

I actually think this is a decent signing for them, solid enough player - obviously nothing on Xhaka but still a solid signing fir them

Elliot would be my 1st choice (well after Amad but I'm not going to dream that one), but Bobb is a very close 2nd and might be more do-able after his injury last season
Get a loan with a few to sign him at the end of the season
171 PL appearances. Still a good age with years ahead of him at 27. Faced relegation battles in the past. It’s a very solid signing for the price
I dont rhink he moves the needle massively but he def improves them
He’s my new max bird mate, will bang the drum until he signs or goes elsewhere, think he’s absolutely perfect for us right now

He's a decent player. Depends who they pull in, but they prefer a money signing up there. Always have done.
Well just told the grandson that we've been linked with Xhaka, his response was "HE'S CLASS!" so I'm all for him coming then

Almost every signing we have made is an appreciating asset, to the point where it is probably questioned in some places.
Not every player can be like that, and their value would be in what they bring to us while they are here.
And don't worry about the money. That's their job!
