Its mental we have two games on Saturday. Feels a week early. We do seem to have more pre-season fixtures than I can remember though which has to be a good thing considering (hopeful) volume of newbies

What I don't understand is why now that we're a Premier League club, we're not getting very regular updates from the likes of Sky and the Athletic, like all other premier clubs get. My only logical explanation is that the club are asking the press not to.
All other clubs have their own dedicated The Athletic journalist. We don't... the closest we have are Michael Walker and Phil Buckingham, and they've been radio silent on us for quite a while, not even reporting on our signings. Diarra's transfer was covered by the Athletic's Chelsea correspondent and Sadiki's by one of their "bank" journalists.

He put out that for people constantly asking about transfer news on sunderland to pretty much stop, he then said there isn't much to report because not many people are interested in leauge ones clubs when someone asked him why he was constantly reporting on Newcastle but very little on Sunderland.

I am in that corner but not because he has trained, but as their has been no real link to anything other than being interested.
What's so hard to understand? Until someone observes the transfer it is both happening and not happening. Over and not even started yet. Simple as that.
