It’s been 6 days, we’ve had transfers drag on for weeks and months in the past

Just be patient and see what happens. The journalist who broke our interest seems to be confident, what’s changed? A rehashed article from France?

I like when people say 'why do we always take so long to do any transfers' etc, with a complete wilful ignorance to the fact that that's just the way it is, look at the Mags with Elanga or Arsenal with Norgaard.

It's a long, complex, high stakes transaction that takes time - the only varying factor is how early on the media pick up on it.

Having said that and to completely contradict the above, I still don't understand how they rush through these 'high stake', multi million pound deals in such a quicktime on deadline day. Ones that haven't been in the pipeline when clubs are scrambling and moving on to new targets I mean. I guess that's largely just lawyers for you, will finish right on a deadline whether you set it for in an hour or a year.

no dig taken mate, as I said just feels like it, in reality it hasn’t but it’s just a perception, not that deep really.

either he’ll sign or he won’t

My current feeling is that the keeper we sign will come out of nowhere immediately at "here we go" status
