We’re going to pay 30 million to either develop him and make 10 mil on him (in euros)

Or he flops and we lose out

Very talented lad, I'd say the odds that we'd ultimately lose money on the deal would be pretty low... Plus, you could say the same thing about any signing - if Talbi / Diarra / Sadiki flops we lose c.€20m on each of them... I think Garcia is more of a sure bet than any of those lads.

The only real difference is the buyback clause. Which means, if he REALLY kicks on and becomes a superstar of Real Madrid quality, we basically get a loan of a top player, except instead of paying a loan fee for him, we get PAID €10m to have him banging goals in for us for a year or two... That sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me??

A lot of these deals have the sell on also as part of the buyback - the wording maybe suggests that wouldn't be the case but wouldn't put it past Madrid.

In that case we'd make nowt.

Even if we only make 10m on him, if his goals mean he keeps us in the Premier League then it’s worth it. I think it would be a very shrewd signing if there is indeed any truth in it

If we didnt have to pay his wages, id agree

Weird that you say that, I said to a United pal on Saturday that they should cash in on him and we would be a great fit

Not sure he will play much with the players they are after and I think he would be class for us
I think Amorim will ditch him given the chance. For me the lad has everything you would want in a CM. Half turn play is class. I havent seen many lads use their body as well as him to keep the ball. He can pass and sees a pass. Can carry it as well. I loved him when he first came onto the scene and think with the right coaching will be a superb player.
