I do however believe we are signing Brewster. Too much smoke without fire for me. Heard it from about 3 different “ITK” sources now

I haven't seen this from any ITKs, just some random Blades fans probably on wind up?

That said, I wouldn't absolutely hate it, he clearly wouldn't be coming in to start games. I'd imagine the club would see it as a "dart throw" - give him a low wage 1 year contract, get him in the youth team and maybe give him a few minutes here and there in cup games or something. If he can get back to the glimpses of potential he showed a few year back happy days, if not we just get shot at the end of the year and it's cost us very little.

So Brad says we’re close to two “vastly experienced” signings.

I reckon one is Henderson. I don’t think Brewster counts as vastly experienced, nor does Mikautadze. Probably another 30+ signing?

Maybe walkers-peters?

Brewster would be a weird one, not a good move for him as he would be down the pecking order - he is versatile though and would maybe be OK as a 3rd choice winger on the right

KWP and Henderson would both be tremendous signings for me now.

I was initially against Henderson and still have my reservations, but with the profile of other signings being both young and also tremendous runners, I’m less worried about his lack of legs and more excited my his tutorage / experience / standard setting

Brewster’s goal scoring record is abysmal - 20 goals in about 5 or 6 years. 11 of those goals came in his second season. No top flight goals. Makes no sense to bring him in like, he’s played wide as well I guess but we’ve already got Roberts out there who doesn’t score goals, don’t need another one.

I’d have thought Brewster might go somewhere like Wrexham.

Still hoping Wrexham fancy Poveda. I’ve made that up but if we all think it at the same time maybe we can make it happen? Manifesting I think the kids call it

Hmm KWP would signal the clubs aspirations for the season as he has openly said he doesnt want to be in another relegation fight and thats why hes moving on from yoyo southampton

Would be great but surely wouldn’t come without a guarantee of game time and we already have Hume.
Can he play RW aswell?
