SUNDERLAND have compiled two separate transfer lists of potential targets to ensure they're ready to hit the ground running in the summer window regardless of which division they're playing in next season.

Regis Le Bris has been heavily involved in planning and discussions for the window, with the latest of several transfer meetings with club bosses having taken place at the end of last week.
Le Bris' primary focus is obviously on the coming challenge on the pitch as Sunderland prepare to face Coventry City in the Championship play-offs.

Black Cats have long started their planning for the transfer window and believe they've prepared well for the possibility of both top flight football or another campaign in the second tier.

"We're working on two plans," said Le Bris at the end of last week.

"The main focus is on the play-offs but at the same time we still have a lot to do and I speak regularly with Kristjaan, Kyril and the recruitment structure.

"We have regular meetings, I have one this afternoon for example, it's all part of the process."

As well as strengthening their squad, Sunderland will want to keep hold of their star assets, which will obviously be a lot easier if Le Bris' side win this month's play-offs.

Jobe Bellingham, Chris Rigg and Dan Neil are among the stars who will undoubtedly be the subject of interest and likely bids from above if Sunderland fail to win promotion.

Well not that it's specifically helpful... But every single position. There are shortlists and contingency plans in case there was irrefutable offers for any of our first team players (most specifically in midfield but I feel that's a given).
Exciting mate, i'm curious to whether we will finally get some fkn wingers and fullbacks haha

Got to hope so don't you, we definitely are looking at a lot of young players from other championship/league one and premier league sides - club seem to recognize the importance of English speaking players.

Plenty of options from abroad though, just both types of player come with different financial implications etc.

I'm very glad to hear that, I think most of our best players in this model have been players who have been in england

If we don’t go up this time of asking you have to think with all the young players teams like Brighton are hoovering up there’d be some who get pushed further down the pecking order and would be worth us taking a chance on for similar transfers to Clarke/Cirkin with lower fee higher sell on.

In the case of Watson for arguments sake, after Mitoma they’ve still got both Adingra and Sima who can play the left very well then they signed Ibrahim Osman for about £15m this season and sent him straight out on loan and Sarmiento returning.

Buannonte and Ensiso both play the 10 but behind Pedro, Rutter and probably Gruda who’s featured a few times there.

Totally mate, still remember when they let Gyokeres go to Coventry for similar to what we paid for Mayenda. So much talent stored up but only 11 places in the team, definitely worth a look.

Although that was pretty crazy scouting in the first place with him having played in the third tier of Sweden and then having a good season in the 2nd tier.

Osman on loan would be nice.

I’d love us to go for Ensiso if we go up really rate the lad but obviously we’d sign Le Fee on a perm. To be fair I rate anyone who can consistently work the keeper from 30 yards out every match :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I imagine they’ll be kicking themselves over how much Gyokores is worth but if we’re honest they’ve hit the jackpot with big incoming fees more than enough times to write one off. But they’ll defo be kicking themselves over losing a striker who can score goals when they’re still relying on Welbeck at the age of 34.

I’ve not seen much of him at all to be fair mate, any good?

Probably, but then again potter seems to consistently have no idea how to use strikers, maybe wouldn't have developed at all

Very good for Nordsjaelland but has basically been the backup winger for Feyernoord all season. Still got 3 goals and 3 assists in just 770 minutes this season. Can play both sides.

This reminds me, been watching a lot of eredevisie recently and the 2 lads at Utrecht are quality.

Cathline on loan from lorient (Le bris connection) and Miguel Rodriguez who they have a mandatory buy clause of a million quid for.
