Yeah hes class, just an ongoing ankle thing that doesnt seem to go away for too long - totally makes the difference for hertha and they'd have been promoted by now if he was fit for this season.

As it stands we have a big squad and it's going to be interesting to see how many go out and how many go in. Obviously we know Mepham, Samed, Le Fee and Watson are away (I'm working on the assumption we don't go up) then you have all the lads on loan at other clubs. Squad as I see it:

    upload_2025-5-4_13-58-27.png

Think Neil and Cirkin's contract situations put them at risk
Anderson has another year but surely it's time he moved on - at 24 he's almost one of the senior pros at the club
RLB clearly doesn't rate Pembele, Ba or Aouchiche so I reckon they'll be moved on. Ekwah has a fee agreed and sounds like he's happy to stay at St. Étienne )FWIW £6m is excellent business)
As with Anderson, Matete has another year, but again it's time he moved on.

Jobe is the stand out departure, I think we can all agree he will leave regardless. I just hope we get a good deal

Quite a few in the 'will stay' section that should/could be moved on as well.

    Poveda
    Roberts
    Johnson
Huggins (great player just never fit)
    Patterson possibly

Don’t agree with Huggins this is his chance he’s had two very serious unlucky injuries rather than loads of niggly ones

Roberts id drop to a squad player unless we can sign two good wingers

Huge pre season for him, I would just worry if he's 1 of 2 right backs in the squad. Superb player though

Young should be loaned unless we want him as no.1

Hjelde, Aleksic, Abdullahi I could definitely see being loaned but will depend on incomings.

Something more like this for me with the shading being how likely I feel they are to stay.

If we don't go up and we get a good offer for Patto, going with a combination of Simon Moore/Matty Young wouldn't be the worst idea I've heard, use Moore as the experienced head and dip Young in and out early to see how he manages it, with the plan that he is our number 1 before the end of the season. It all depends on the ambitions the club have, if we're really ambitious you'd be looking to spend whatever you get from Patto and a bit more on a top class international calibre keeper.

Was just watching some of the highlights from the Belgian conference groups (yes I'm a sad sad little nerd) - forgot just how good Charleroi's midfield duo is of Adem Zorgane (25) and Yacine Titraoui (21).

The two Algerians have been some of the most impressive in Europe this season and over the last few. Wouldn't mind then if we went up and certainly not if we dont. Screenshot_20250504-153703.png Screenshot_20250504-154226.png

Roberts should stay as backup but one of the main priorities in replacing him imo

I'd rather see him leave personally but backup is fine as long as he's replaced seriously, not with a Poveda type.

He is on 65k a week, there is not a chance we pay that unless we're promoted, the only way he joins us permanently in the Championship is if he takes at least a 40% wage cut.

How does Triantis compare to the likes of Mcgeouch and Mcginn in the season before they left for England? Be interesting to see how Hibs fans and the data stacks up in comparison to those 2. We all know by now that we got the wrong one <laugh>
