I don't think they'll sell him I think there's a large portion of fans that want him out just like they wanted Robert out.

I get the issue I got the issue with robert, but when you have **** like Murphy Fraser and Almiron It would be a while before maxes time should come under question imo.
Agree. The only issue would be if we need to sell first to be able buy key targets. You look around the squad and wonder who you might actually get some money for - not too many real options.

Replacing max gets you nowhere potentially could even be worse. Replacing Murphy or Fraser and keeping max and you're no better at worst or stronger

Disagree.

As with replacing any player the key is always who is got to replace the outgoing player. For example, selling Andy Cole and replacing him (eventually) with Alan Shearer.

If we replace Max with Diaby (just going off stats) then that has the potential to be a very good deal. Don't replace him or replace him with someone worse then it becomes a bad move.

For the record I like Max but accept he is frustrating and hasn't improved (I blame Bruce & Co mainly) but I would like to keep him for now subject to the above.

You haven't understood that replacing max doesn't guarantee a better player which was the entire context behind it .

I did understand that but there are no guarentees in life except tax and death. Buying and selling is always a gamble as it might not work in real life even though on paper it may have looked a no brainer and why I said has the potential on my example eg Diaby and is one I would take.

So I was right then ..

Max and Diaby > Fraser and Diaby

Max is the one player who evidently hasn't improved under Howe.

He's useful, so for now, our right side has to be a priority.
Agree with this. The only possible advantage of selling Max is that he will generate more than Almiron and definitely more than Fraser. But would rather keep him anyway.

I actually thought he looked sharper and more incisive last weekend.

Max is passing more , but end product isn't there . He's still our best attacking midfielder by miles.

Replace the others 1st

Just my view but I have seen nufc fans chase out too many players. They chased out Bobby Robson that says it all.

I just feel fans should just be more understanding that the people are human beings that have good and bad days.

Things are great these days, so why keep up the negativity, bullying and witch hunting?
