I'd have been annoyed if we hadn't signed Targett tbh. 26, English, was Villa fans player of the year last season and in the few months we had him i can fully see why. He's not "next level" but he's too good for the lower half of the Premiership and fits our mold entirely. It's also a bit of a bargain (£12m feels a snip) which help for FFP and frees up time and money for other positions we need to focus on. Chuffed with this one. A no-brainer.
