Can see this and a number of players like it. Not quite deemed good enough for the establishment, and not needed by those in the next tier (Leicester, Villa, Wolves.) We won’t be dining at the top table yet, although I do think we’ll try to make a statement forward signing alongside the likes of Philips, Kelly, etc.
He’s reportedly told Leeds he’s willing to sign new contract with them.
Would be ideal to have him with Bruno.

I hope they enter the window with a solid plan. Personally I think Phillips is actually the top end of what we will get. We may get players like Zagadou, Badiasiele, but it may just be a Summer of Lloyd Kellys and Brennan Johnsons. The danger is we spend a lot of money on mid table mediocrity which is where we’ve spent the previous two seasons. I don’t think the owners will settle for that so I do think Howe is going to need to be ambitious and step outside his comfort zone.
I think Howe is ambitious otherwise he wouldn’t be here. Also it won’t just be Howe having input into new players.

The rumours about us selling ASM are increasing. Not sure if mind atm, he looks like a bit of a square peg in a round hole recently.

Would I want Max to be sold? It all depends upon who coomes in to replace him.
I like Max and think he's overly maligned and people have very short memories. If he is sold and we bring in someone better then for me it's a thanks Max and good luck in the future.

On the ASM rumours, of the squad of 25 he’s about 22nd in priority need of replacing.

6 of those listed above not in the 25 man squad but would still mean 5 new faces in through the door and could suggest the club would be looking at bringing in a new spine to the team with 2 Keepers to be replaced by 1, 2 Cb's for another, 3 CM's out with 1 in, then a replacement for Gayle and a winger to replace Miggy and Ritchie. Would also intimate Targett is an option past the end of the season if Lewis is off.
Obviously all hearsay but just shows how much dead wood is at the club that needs to be cleared out.
