We will not be buying a single mercenary type of player. All thoughts of the likes of Rudiger, Pogo, Hazard, etc., just file it under BS. There is no way Ashworth, Howe or the owners are going to allow a completely fractured wage structure and culture to satisfy the needs of an agent.

That doesn't mean we can't buy big - but there are hundreds and hundreds of hungry, focused players out there - young and older - who can do a great job at this club.

I think we'll probably be aiming for 5-6 quality additions and a handful of predictable exits.

No1 priority for me is CF. Wilson is fine as backup, Wood is a last resort, but we lack that magic ingredient here - a proper player like Izak, David, Schick or Nunes would be ideal. We could do with a youngster to cover the wings, that Doku would do me. Definitely need to strengthen CB again, still likely need 2 players to ship out Fede, Clark and Lascelles. And I think it's time to upgrade the 'keeper. Then a decent attacking midfielder would be a good option to have to allow us to switch into a 4-2-3-1 from time to time.

Isak? - Who has 4 goals in 22 this season, a purple patch of 17 in 34 last year and the previous year scored 9 in 37? That's in a league that if you remove Atletico and Real Madrid is ****ing rancid this year. I don't get the hype some have with this kid other than FM?

Just an opinion, but he's got so much ability and an awful lot of potential. He's strong, quick, selfless, like a younger version of Lukaku. Only seen bits, mind, so I'm far from hung up on it. Just so long as Wood isn't starting next season. Or even next in line.

If Eddie really is 'Our Sir Alex' then when he announces his best summer signings we will likely respond with 'Who?'

We can pretty much ignore 99.9% of this 'linked with' **** and hope he goes out and signs the best players for what he needs - who more than likely will not be ready made superstars but will instead have the right attributes for his project. There's a good chance we won't even have heard of many of them.

Bournemouth didn’t have many “ stars “ , but he got a TEAM. Together .

Think I need a lie down …..

Fair enough, I would go for Martinez personally.

Just seen one of summer targets is in the crowd tonight.......I'm also going to guess this may be a tip off that Bruno G is starting saying as that target is his former team mate Lucas Paquetta

I'd go for Lukaku himself

Apparently we're being linked with Neymar for £200m from DM, just some click bait I assume.

Although for whatever reasons, I hope we don't splash that kind of sum for any kind of player and being sensible in our spending's in the future.
