Neymar is the type of signing I hope we avoid. Mega money on someone like that will ruin any kind of team spirit that Eddie is trying to develop.

And like QWOP said, the expectations would be so high that he'd divide the fans instantly with some just assuming everything he does is classsy and others saying its a waste of money.

I think we need about 7 new players this summer, including 3 or 4 with Prem experience, who can instantly bolster the first team (like Tripps, Burn & Targett have) a couple of bigger signings from overseas and at least a couple of younger players with true potential. But I really don't want crazy marquee signings that cost £100m+ and then demand £300k+ every week.

He's overrated anyway
 
If Man City do bag Haaland this summer then they really will be some team next season. Imagine his movement with someone like De Bruyne playing him in. Scary to picture it with Haaland's kind of natural goalscoring ability. It's the one thing they haven't had since Aguero, but Haaland looks like he could be one of the best strikers ever.
 
Think we’ll just spend heavily and consistently but there will be absolutely no megastars. I can’t see Eddie going for that. He’ll want depth because I imagine he’s a bit fed up of watching wood play that badly but realising he’s only got Gayle to turn to.

Isn’t that Paqueta a done deal?

I think we're tantalisingly close from being safe, another win would be good enough for me, so can't really compete for the best ranked players until we are.
But a world class forward, Beardsley grade, would add so much to the team.
