I hate to burst the bubble of anyone thinking PSG just loaned a player but have no interest in signing him…..they did the same with Mbappe!!! He was signed on loan initially as PSG wanted to make sure he was the real deal, they paid a large loan fee for this so I suspect they are doing something similar with Ekitike.
No they never, they had to do that as they'd already exceeded FFP by some distance and were forced into it by UEFA. They had just signed Neymar the same month.
PSG signed M'bappe the same month they signed Neymar for £199m and they did it with an obligation to buy at a set price of £166m. So they had no option but to buy him "real deal" or not. Why hasn't the same been done with this kid?

Not necessarily, they will see him up close in training, he’ll probably get 15-20 games in cups and weak league games, he’s u21 so they don’t need to use up a squad spot on him. They’ll know if he’s good enough after that. If he is they’ve signed a good young French player for peanuts. It’s a no lose situation for PSG. Messi & Neymar will be out the gap next year so they’ll need replacing too.
