Question; if we sign Paqueta, do we move to a 4-2-3-1 type formation? Joe/Bruno behind Paqueta, ASM, new striker and new right winger (Nunez/Harrison?), is that what we might do?

Nope it would be a 4-3-3.This however brings up a problem. How to put this without sounding like someone we all know and love? :emoticon-0140-rofl: Okay. I am led to believe that an agreement is in place with Lucas Paquetta and his party for a transfer to NUFC. As in contract, terms etc are agreed. However, this was allowed to occur as he fell out with the Lyon coach because he played him as a false 9 and Paqueta feels he operates better as a central midfielder. The problem however is that someone at NUFC believes he would play best in the false 9 role too.

A fee with Lyon is not agreed at this point and the 2 parties are some way off with the valuation. Like ****ing miles off as is typical with Lyon's president. NUFC have an absolute top price that they will not go 1 penny over.

Paqueta was however dropped and not played in their final game last weekend after his little trip.

This thing is likely to rumble on all the way through the window would be my guess.

Well it will matter because it'll shake up the market. They could be now after players we've been after. They could also gatecrash other deals and then in turn other clubs miss out on their targets and go after the ones nufc were after instead

I dunno, they like their marquee big name signings to make a statement, hence Man City going straight for Haarland, Chelsea with Lukaku etc.

Which makes me think Nunez will be a very tough one for us.

This is merely something people are using to convince themselves they spend silly money.
