Unless we can’t find anyone to take him on a free (on £20k a week apparently) he’s gone. Warburton has made it clear he’s not a fan.

Don’t really get why especially if we’re to play three at the back with a paucity of centre-halves. Prefer him in the middle of that trio to Cameron based purely on ability but we’ve had a right touch with Kakay emerging as the new Paul Parker so could have a few more pennies to put towards a striker.

If those weekly wage figures are true then it makes a little more sense to me. £1m in wages per year in the new market should probably be getting you more than an average championship defender.

Edit - and thinking about it, probably also explains why Koln have not taken up the option to buy him. Presumably he wasn't going to move there for a big wage drop, so they would have been tied into a deal with a similar wage commitment. They've reassessed post-COVID and said no thanks. Question is, will anyone take him off us, even on a free, on those wages? I doubt it...

Probably not but then £20k in London/SE is equivalent to less in a nice leafy part of Germany I suspect. Especially with the pound on its arse.

At the end of his contract he’ll be 30 so not ideal to be looking for a new club having not played for a year if that’s the threat of staying here. Better to get a contract at 29 even on less money.

Here's hoping.

You would hope so, but his agent may be a short term money grabbing tw@t more interested in his 10% today

Not that I have a downer on agents :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Rumour that BOS is not in the squad tomorrow
FC Bruges (Belgium Champions) have upped their offer to 5 million Euros...
And are in serious negotiations with player and club.

Would have liked a bit more....but might just be a start of a bidding war, I hope

(Bruges offered 3 million in May, rejected...Ferenbache offered a bit more in June and now Bruges are back with 5million....come on WBA...lets try 7 million please)

QPR ACCEPT OSAYI-SAMUEL BID
QPR
have accepted a £4m bid from Belgian champions Club Brugge for forward Bright Osayi-Samuel.
It is the second time Club Brugge have tried to sign the 22-year-old after seeing an initial offer turned down in May. QPR have declined to comment
that 's on Sky.
At least he hasn't joined spam, foolham ...or that other small side in Fulham

Angel Rangel: QPR defender faces up to nine months out with an Achilles injury

Angel Rangel joined Rangers from Swansea in 2018
Queens Park Rangers defender Angel Rangel faces up to nine months out with a torn Achilles suffered in the 1-1 draw against Luton Town on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old was taken off just 11 minutes into the Championship fixture.

Stick - it would be nice to know if there is a sell on clause. I think he is worth a little more...but then would you gamble with 12 months left on a contract.

I wouldnt have taken the gamble. In the mid season window he would have gone for half the money with suitors knowing its a fire sale.

Next it will be Eze for 8m or something just as ****ing daft! This club is seriously lacking any ambition and it's getting right on my nerves. Fernandes has to be one of the worst things to happen to QPR.

I find it absolutely unbelievable that we could even consider accepting 4.7m for Samuel. Leeds just signed Costa permanently for 16m!!!! Clarke went for 10m!!! What a ****ing joke! He is better than the pair of them combined!! Shocked is an understatement and I feel this is a complete piss take!
Totally agree with you here Bob. We certainly are the Club that keeps giving.

I wonder what MW had to say or whether he had none. If he gets nothing out of the deal to bring someone in then there is surely something wrong. However if I was in BOS's shoes, and I was offered the chance of Champion's League football then I would be bugging my agent to get me this opportunity or a lifetime.
