Yes we moved on two years ago yet some people were expecting something from him. The disappointing thing is that he prefers being a big fish in a small pond rather than being a medium fish in the ocean. In the last two years (since EH) he’s improved the least (assuming he has improved), he’s shown he thinks he’s the main man and ignores others, as soon as he loses the ball that’s it from him, if he’s being marked out of the game then he is down with some injury.Anyway, I'm happy if we get Barnes as an upgrade, I just don't think Maxi deserves the slating he gets from some. For quite a while he was our only real outlet going forward. We've moved on from relying on the one man attack on the break, so good luck to him. But I thank him and wish him all the best.
Everyone wanted him to succeed but he never did fit in to EH’s footballing philosophy.
