Yeah, £50m is a joke for a player who's only had one season at senior level and then missed the following season with injury. I don't care about his potential, there will be other 'gems' out there for a fraction of that cost. Anyway, he might never fully recover from the injury. Saints can go get stuffed. Southampton surely need money they've been relegated. They're trying to act like they don't need to sell. If this is true Newcastle will walk away and I wouldn't be bothered he's not a signing that excited me anyway. Newcastle are 80% boring in the market tbh.
Sounds like he would be a very good signing, but I'd now switch the primary focus to Lewis Hall, or another LB who could compete as a starter. That would give us decent cover across the back and still allow us to release the likes of Jamal Lewis and maybe even Manquillo.

Essentially they are saying 'not for sale', which is their prerogative... I think that's a similar figure to the rumoured amount that we were quoted for Theo Hernandez.
Think the article obviously forgot to also mention the Clubs concerns about the ChelseA and Liverpool sales as well.
