There was a bit more about this in the Chelsea thread.

Fair point but honestly it’s a terrible fee.You did watch him, didn’t you?
I’m just pleased we got something.
Which in terms of ****housery they have sold a lot of ok to good players and replaced them with bang average players. This is from April...
Conclusion
Chelsea’s loss was again enormous, though it was significantly impacted by large once-off charges. However, it would have been even higher without considerable player sales.
It is likely that player trading will continue to be a very important part of Chelsea’s business model for the foreseeable future, partly because their squad is now ridiculously bloated, but also because it is their best chance of complying with FFP regulations (especially if they fail to qualify for the Champions League).
It would therefore be no surprise if many players leave this summer, including the likes of Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Trevor Chalaboah, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Levi Colwill, and potentially even Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount.
The above is exactly what they've done, and generated a load of money doing it.

Antony Gordon is "fighting" to save his Newcastle career apparently:

Yes, ****e like this is the reason Gabriel Agbonlahor isn't a real pundit.
Tobido and Zanilio links circulating the last day or so.
To be honest, I'm half resigned to us not getting anyone else in this window now.
We don't need squad fillers, as we have plenty. So any signings now should only be for first team starters. And we can't seem to get the right players we want on the current budget available, due to FFP restrictions. Clubs either want too much or the players want higher salaries than we can offer.
Selling the likes of Darlow for under 1/2 a million doesn't exactly help us a lot. Yeah it's one off the wage bill, but nowt in terms of generating revenue for transfer kitty.
I hope so, I'm just not setting my expectations too high.I'm not I think they'll sign more 1st team players mate. Plenty of time.
Selling players so must be replacing them.

But that’s what we already have.Let's face it left back wouldn't be hard to strengthen and I think cb is much the same... I think people crave big fees and fancy names, but any half decent left back and cb would be great tbh.
EH has said we can make signings without selling
But that’s what we already have.
