Is that right? Never played championship. Most appearances at league 2. Played 60 games at age 24. Seems a very strange backup choice to me.

3 year deal??

I'm not going to lose sleep over a back up keeper that cost very little, but this one doesn't make any sense to me. He's 24 and had the choice of Exeter or Crawley before we threw our hat in the ring. Portsmouth brought a 20 year old on loan from the Championship rather than make him first choice in League one.

I think he's here purely to sit on our bench so that we could loan Carney out, but 3 years seems excessive for that. Maybe we were really struggling to find an alternative keeper.

Maybe they think they can coach him and make him a better keeper
