Playing devils advocate here Clarke Harris had 12 goals and 3 assists in a terrible Peterborough side last year, isn’t a bad return, don’t think he fits the profile or style of player we’re after either mind

Peterborough have been touting him to us since the early part of last season. I'm not convinced we're in for him, but being used to advertise him for sale. Plus, by most Peterborough fans opinion he's doesn't have a great attitude, so it's a no for me.

Yeah not overly keen on him myself, numbers wise he looks okay but it doesn’t take many bad eggs to disrupt what we have so I’d rather steer clear

He is a striker I have liked for a while. The type I actually thought would have done well here in the last year or two. I didnt realise his attitude wasnt right so that would alter my opinion for sure. I would say he is championship standard so would expect him not be too keen at L1 level, but maybe others will make the move rather than us.

Looks like Ravel Morrison is going to America with Rooney. Would be about his level in my opinion. I doubt anyone at Sunderland ever had him on our list of targets. I am not a fan of his, purely from a footballing perspective, but he will be getting himself decent money out there so fair play.

If we can't get carried away during silly season then we shouldn't follow football. <laugh><laugh>

It's all part of the fun imo. I love all the links, realistic and the silly ones. All part an parcel of the game. <cheers><cheers>

Absolutely mate. Personally love all the **** speculation .

I seen Robbie Keane & N’Zogbia down Shields earlier wearing SAFC training gear.

I know people are positive about the business but we haven’t really improved the team from last season yet. Would say Ballard is an upgrade but the rest of the signings are just maintaining our level from last season

Would ideally like an upgrade on Evans, RB and GK

I hope Neil will improve our players we’ve got obviously but still work to do for me

I get what your saying, but id say we have improved. One of the most important areas for the championship is cb and weve signed 2 quality cbs. In ballard i think we have ome of the best cbs in the league. Roberts and Clarke will be even better this season as theyve had a pretty much full preseason with us

Agree I want to see a few more through the door, but am still relaxed about it. I think the squad we have is more suited to the championship than league one anyway.

Teams are more likely to attack leaving them more exposed at the back than clubs smaller than us in league one.

It's more about breaking sides down that sat back last year. There will less of that this year.

Bang on mate. This squad finished 5th in L1… We need improvements but I trust the club after a very successful window last summer.
