100% mate - as I say I think Neil has more potential than anyone we’ve seen through the academy lately, including Pickford. I think he’s in a difficult position though where if we were a lesser club he’d be playing every game and show his quality but we’re lucky enough to have Pritchard who’s going to have another blinder this season IMO. Hopefully in a few years time we’ve got Matete in Evans position and Neil in Pritchards.

I just hope in a few years time we are not here scratching our heads saying first Jordan Henderson (who apparently was crap) and now Dan Neil. Just my opinion

“It’s understood the club [[HASHTAG]#SAFC[/HASHTAG]], whom the Sky Blues face on the first day of the new season, wanted to take Doyle back to the Stadium of Light for a second season but City have nipped in and got the defender ahead of their rivals.”

I don’t know their (Coventry) CB situation but I think Doyle would get more games for them than with us.

Doyle will need a lot of support because Roberts could destroy him as Doyle is slow to turn.
Doyle certainly lacks pace and that might hold him back from making at the top. He's superb on the ball, but a little lightweight in the air which is a surprise for a lad his size. What he might benefit from is the fact fewer teams in The Championship lump it up to a 6'5" striker with elbows like razor blades. Be interesting to see how he does

Agree. RR love a negative tweet of course, and whilst I think it's a good move for him, I'd rather we developed our own players (Ballard) than someone else's

I agree. I think the comment is a load of bollocks just to stir things up for the first game of the season.
