All about opinions Bob, but I think he'll not get his place ahead of Huggins, unless he's injured of course. He's played very little 1st team football in this country, so would probably benefit from a loan, even until January.
I'm delighted that AN rates him, but he's got time on his side.
He has played almost as much as Huggins this season if not more.

Magnificent comment this <laugh>

On the midfield debate, I don’t think we are talking up Embo enough. I think he’s enough games under his belt and he’s shown a bit of versatility dropping in deeper at times, I think he will get a LOT of minutes. Neil will get games too, but less than Embo IMO.

On Neil, let’s not forget another highly rated midfielder who sometimes was inconsistent and went missing.

A certain Jordan Henderson. Turned out canny the kid. He was often unconvincing.
Agree mate. Embo is a cracking player and will be important this year. Pritchard missed a fair few games last season and Embo was more than decent when played in there. There was a time in the first half of the season I thought Embo deserved the position more, but you could see Johnson wanted Pritchard in there for the right reasons.

On Henderson I will be honest and say I was surprised when he got the big money move to Liverpool. He certainly became a far better player than I thought he would. He was clearly a premier league player but to develop like he has - brilliant on him. Just goes to show, development from 19/20 to 24/25 can be massive, or in some cases not as expected.

There was the odd game, one I remember most was a win against Wigan when he dragged us to the win, but he often looked lost in CM, just shows that top scouts see something that they can develop.

He’s had some career the boy and made us all proud, but like you say, felt like we’d had their kegs down at the time.

If Doyle plays against us first game of the season, I’d fancy Ross Stewart to get the better of him all day long…
I would agree, but I reckon Stewart will trouble all championship centre halves. He will prove himself to be one of the best strikers in this division I reckon. Getting him on a longer contract now will make him worth a bucket load next summer.

Thinking aloud. Doyle has come back to Man City from the euros and quickly gone out on loan. Liam Delap also back at Man City. I wonder what this season holds for him? With City bring in 2 very good strikers I wonder if he may be sent out on loan. The lad is a hell of a talent and his scoring stats at u23 and u18 are brilliant. A year in the championship may be a good next step for him.

Think Roberts will destroy a lot of defenders this season - I have a feeling he will be one of the stand out players in the whole league next season

might be just me but i reckon roberts is going to be exciting and frustrating in equal measures because i just think he is that type of player, whether he is having a brilliant game or a not so good game i cant see him changing his way of playing and i am looking forward to seeing him in full flow...just hope on his odd not so good games the fans cut him some slack because his game can change in a second and get the crowd on thier feet.

changing the subject here ...not sure what i am watching here mind, 40 minutes gone and england lasses are 6 - 0 up, certainly never expected that against norway.
