Have any others been linked? Wouldn’t be surprised if one joins out the blue like
Just Iversen and Ruddy so far. It’s been very quiet on all links really.

Pritchard came out of the blue as the first signing last summer, can’t even remember him being linked.

If he had a better injury record I’d agree but he seems to constantly have niggles these days.

Fans seem to get very hung up on "injury proneness" in my opinion. The fact is none of us have a clue about a players physical state, I'll trust our medical experts to assess that side of things. We're not going to sign a player without looking into the detail properly.

Hope we don't hang around and have the piss taken out of us by waiting too long. I'd like us to get people in for the majority of pre season rather than waiting

It's a fine balancing act. Players available at the start of a window are ones that other clubs don't want or ones you have to pay a premium to get.

I agree that I'd like players in as early as possible, but not at the expense of missing our 1st choice targets. Last season we ended up waiting until mid August for Cirkin rather than taking our 2nd choice Gallacher. I'm glad we waited.

Good point. It was starting to get frustrating at one point but it was an excellent summer window in the end, club did well.

It did require some blind faith last summer in that the signings took a long time. We’re not so blind this time but we’ll have to dig in to some of that well-practiced patience again.

Patience is a requirement by all that hold SAFC close to their hearts , we now have a respected Director of Football with a professional team of player recruitment personnel who hopefully have compiled a list of suitable transfer targets in conjunction with Alex Neil - come on lads now go and get them !!! . We are waiting for what you can come up with to improve the squad and take the club forward and upward toward the ultimate target of a return to the Premier League , KLD as Chairman and the board have to be as supportive as possible to try and achieve these aims .
