If the manager is reduced to making coded signals after a few months in the job, then we are in proper trouble.

I doubt it. They'll be looking at who they can afford, and who wants to come, as most clubs are.

In recruitment I'd trust Speakman, as most of his calls have been right. Clearly not in all other things, but he has a lot of credit in the bank regarding recruitment.

all managers do it, I wouldn't read anything into it. thats even if he was doing it.

I'm with you though - I 100% trust the recruitment team at the moment. weird feeling.

I don’t see anyone in the Championship pulling up trees recruitment wise yet.

If we are waiting on PL player availability then it’s gonna run at least another week they all touring right now.

Forest have said Joe Lolley can go, always liked the look of the lad.

He always seems to get plenty of stick so Ive heard

Ah I see, it’s not like Nixon to be vague is it

there was a reporter on talkSPORT a few months ago saying he would link the same several players to the same several clubs every window and hope one day he'd be right. I honestly don't know how reporters get away with making **** up and selling it as news. I was like that rancid Sunday sup **** and sky a few years ago (not sure if it's still on), 4 ****ers sar round a table full of self importance.

how things change after one, meaningless result...carney had a good game other than that none of the outfield players really stood out and most would fall into the 'did okay but' category.

yes we need more players, hopefully with at least championship experience and diamond (as striker) has done little else but show how lacking we are on the striker front as if we did not know... not going to join in the name calling of certain players as i honestly dont think anyone did badly they just did not do enough and as just about everyone said and agreed before kick off, it was more minutes in the lads legs and get through without injuries and for that it was a job done.

i expect little else from the rest of the friendlies and refuse to base any kind of judgement on what is little more than a practice kick around for both teams.
AN tried a system with wing backs with basically our B team and it didn't work..So what!. Back to the drawing board but he made sure that those players needing minutes got them and that those coming in need more time to adopt/adapt to the system we are going to use this year.

I watched episode two of STiD on Netflix yesterday, the Grayson time. At the end it showed Bain at 9.45 , transfer deadline day, trying to complete a deal for Ross McCormmick from Villa, one of Graysons main wants. We know it didn't happen due to wages with Bain stating we had a price but Villa wanted much, much more and we wouldn't go past the price we believed was a decent offer so the deal didn't go, which is when Bain cut the Netflix camera. Move forward to the Donald duck era with Grigg, the exact opposite occurred, pay the money when people were telling Donald he wasn't worth it. We will have a price for whoever we are tracking and will keep to it, or so it seems.. Wise, very wise.
