Bailey Wright will 100% be one of the first names on the team sheet.
He improved ten fold when Neil came in but I hope not. Always got a fatal mistake in him I feel, like the play off final when he totally misjudged the ball and vokes got in. Fortunately he got it stuck under his feet or could've ended up a different game.

You need to watch that back. Wright judged a normal bounce perfectly. The ball skipped up off the turf way higher than the angle it hit. I reckon 99% of defenders would’ve done the same. Very few would’ve read that bounce

Can't believe that 6 weeks after the final the BW detractors are still at it, they're like a dog who won't give his bone up.
Time we moved on but god help him when/if he fluffs his lines next season.
I'm sorry about that but everyone's got opinions. As I've said he improved massively when Neil took over and I was one of the first to say fair play. Because in January, I wanted him replaced as I thought he was awful under Johnson. Got absolutely no problem with him staying.

It isnt like anyone is hammering the lad mate. Most seem balanced. We like him and pleased he is part of the squad. Just debating whether he is a starter or not at the higher level, or whether he made a mistake or not. That is ok I reckon, if we all thought the same it would be boring. Now plenty of other players have been hammered by fans, but Bailey Wright isnt in that category...

I'm not a detractor, he's been really good for us I just dont think he will be 1st choice this season
I don’t disagree.. I just know he’ll be on the team sheet. Neil likes him and he was top drawer second half of last season. He had a few contract offers elsewhere, if he wasn’t part of our plans he would’ve been off. Without him organising the defence I think we would’ve struggled at the back. Personally I think he’s in centre-back middle ground, he’s neither a presence nor really quick. If he does decide to play a back 3 then wright and Ballard either side of Batth could work.
Dont disagree with this at all, his organising skills are top draw, loved how he played with Winchester and Cirkin in a back 3. We 100% wouldnt have made the playoffs without Wright last season. Wright is huge for us off the pitch, everyone talks about how good he is on the training ground with the players - think Neil referenced it when Wright signed his new deal. We have some exciting defenders at the club (Ballard, Jonhson, Williams & Fieldson) and Wright will be great for these lads.
