Signed him from prison iirc. Think he went to Oxford after us
He was playing for Cowes Sports on the Isle of Wight on day release from Parkhurst. He came to us when his sentence ended, I believe. He made his debut for us against Middlesbrough away and made his home debut, I believe, in a mid week game. After us he went to Leicester and then played for Bradford City during their spell in the Premier League so he had a good career.

Nee worries Jamie. :emoticon-0105-wink:
Fans were quite excited when he made his debut irrc. He was fast and ran at the fullback and whipped crosses in a few times. Was it Buxton who signed him? It was very early doors in my time tbh.

Terry Butcher signed him. I don't think Mick Buxton rated him and he flogged him to Doncaster. If I remember rightly he was very fast but lacked a bit of finesse. I think he'd developed his game a bit by the time I saw him playing for Bradford City

I think the difference here maybe that 'Bayern II' don't play u23 footy. It's different over there where their 'reserve' teams can get promoted/relegated but play in the men's league. There isn't an u23/u21 league over there as far as I can tell, they have a 'B' team. Happy to be shot down as I don't watch much German footy tbh.

The second teams in Germany play in the regular league pyramid, however they can't be promoted above the 3.Liga. Bayern won that the year before last and Dajaku made nearly 30 appearances for them. A lot of that side were then loaned and tested at higher levels, so the next crop of Bayern youth struggled and they were relegated from 3.Liga back to Regionalliga.

Great stuff, thanks for the info. I knew it was different to our setup but wasn't sure of the finer details. Was he any good in those 30 games? What sort of player is he? Cheers.

Scored 4 league goals from what I can see. I've never seen him play, a lad I work with absolutely bots all things Bayern so I've asked the question but he hasn't got back to me yet.

He rates both the keepers mind.

Pretty sure we sold him to pay the fine for the illegal appearance by Dominic Matteo

Looks like this lad plays on the left anyway so wouldn't affect Gooch.

But Mcgeady on a bad day is probably better than Gooch...

If Mcgeady wants the left, I reckon he gets the left. The senior bowler usually gets the end he wants to bowl from, as it were!

I don’t think Johnson would allow him to pick, if he’s doing the business then he’s the first one on the sheet if not I think LJ has the balls to drop him. He’s not been up to speed this season but was better 2nd half on Saturday, it’ll be good for him to have direct competition on the left
