Interesting how he mentions Johnson as a key factor. People early to stick the boot in but he does seem to have a good rep in the game for developing players. Great signing for us.
One of his earlier interviews was interesting when he said he spent time in America as a result of knowing a few people in the City Group, he also spent time in Germany (I think it was) learning different things. He will have good contacts, no doubt about it.
The stuff he talks about is pretty normal language to use in most organisations as well tbh.

Exactly mate, and the fact City have let him have one of their highly rated players says everything. Like people have said it’s refreshing to see us target these types of players, it’s exciting for once.

He isnt the first to mention him either. I do believe his reputation with young players is good in terms of development. Man City arent sending a 17 year old otherwise - I believe they have sent him to Johnson more than they have sent him to Sunderland.

I know some fans arent convinced and that is fair enough. If he gets us playing like we look we want to, and with young lads like Embleton and Neil making their mark, I reckon everyone will be happy for him to be here for a few years.

Everyone brings up Mcfadzean as if one of our worst signings proves their point. No one's suggesting getting rubbish like that in but we could easily have gotten a decent player in by now. It's not always a case of waiting for quality. Mcfadzean was signed after the window shut iirc so didn't get quality late there did we.
No but it still proves that signing the wrong players just to plug holes does not help either and just to be clear who are the players you think we should be signing

Bang on mate. These are things we have to do to be successful, be good to see a young hungry side, rather than the plodders we have been watching. Still think we will get a few more, we just need to be patient.

There have been a few that have moved I'd have signed yes. There may be some available that we could sign we don't know about too. Just to say we are waiting and def will get them before deadline is blind faith. Nothing so far proves this will happen.
So there are players you would have signed but you don't say who. And you want the club to make signings quick but you can only name positions not who they should sign. It seems to me that you would be happy for us to keep making the same mistakes we have been doing for the past few years. This new set up are trying to not make the same mistakes from the past give them some time and have a little faith
